Very common, glossy black bird. Can’t miss the forked tail and its sorties to catch insects in flight. Often operates in pairs and can be seen making a ruckous and chasing one another in groups.
Remarks
Makes a variety of harsh scoldingor challenging calls. I have heard it imitate the call of Oriental Magpie Robin and Treepie. Have also seen this one chasing away kites!
